Overview:
The Information Technology Business Partner (ITBP) is responsible for managing strategic relationships between Group Technology (GT) and other business units within Hong Leong Bank Berhad (HLBB) with a focus on Wealth Management, Retail, Wholesale or Back Office. The responsibilities include understanding the operational needs of the overall business to identify technology solutions and drive successful delivery of technology projects and services, aligning with HLBB and GT’s strategic objectives.
High Level responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Act as primary liaison between GT and business heads, provide strategic guidance on IT initiatives and maintain alignment with business priorities.
- Oversee the development and implementation of technology roadmap and strategies in Wealth Management, Retail, Wholesale or Back Office to align with HLBB’s overall objectives.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Enterprise Architecture and Program Management functions to understand strategic organizational directions and overall technology capacity related to business priorities for the specific business services/processes.
- Oversee IT projects and initiatives within GT to drive transformation, enhance operational efficiency and improve overall business performance.
- Conduct technology reviews and recommend enhancements to optimize the performance of Wealth Management, Retail, Wholesale or Back Office to improve customer experiences and business operations.
- Oversee the implementation of relevant technology policies, standards, and procedures to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Manage the vendor relationship at the business level including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and other related service agreements.
- Provide recommendation on IT solutions to address diverse business challenges and support long-term objectives.
- Understand emerging technologies and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
- Work closely with HR functions to define and implement programs to address changes in resourcing, career mobility, career development and reward/recognition initiatives.
- Facilitate strong communication and collaboration, build, and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders at all levels within GT.
Jobholder Requirements:
Education/Qualification
Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or other related fields from established tertiary education providers.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience and at least 5 years of supervisory and managerial experience in IT functions in the Financial Services industry, preferably in the Banking industry, with strong and proven management experience at a strategic level.
