Precision for Medicine are hiring a Logistics Receiving Coordinator based on site in Berlin.

Position Summary:

As a Logistics Receiving Coordinator you have the daily operational responsibility for the incoming goods department and all incoming shipments. You are part of the logistics team in Berlin and ensure that incoming shipments and samples for our laboratory are booked in and forwarded to the relevant departments. You are responsible for recording all incoming shipments, their data and archiving. You will also support us with warehousing, building up our warehouse and taking on initial projects independently.

Daily Tasks:

  • You are responsible for receiving all logistics shipments at the site. These mainly consist of sample deliveries for our laboratories from courier services. However, the occasional big box or pallet also arrives from time to time.
  • You compare the qualitative and quantitative parameters of a delivery with the order.
  • You are responsible for checking and reading out the data, temperature recording and documentation for delivered samples/samples
  • You check delivery documents and, if necessary, consult with the laboratory departments
  • You record the data of the deliveries in the company's internal ERP, SmartSheet or in Excel
  • You are responsible for unpacking and proper storage in our warehouse.
  • You are the contact person for the other departments when it comes to incoming deliveries.
  • You accept orders from suppliers and enter them into our ERP system (infor).

Qualifications:

  • Completed training as a warehouse logistics specialist or warehouse coordinator or
  • a degree in logistics, supply, chain management or similar experience. 
  • Ideally initial professional experience in the field of logistics - goods receipt desirable
  • Confident handling of MS Office
  • Ideally, you already have some experience of working with an inventory management system.
  • Excellent understanding of numbers
  • Good written and spoken German language skills (at least B2)
  • Good written and spoken English skills (at least B2)

Key Requirements:

Logistics Receiving Coordinator must perform with a high degree of accuracy and quality with a variety of laboratory-related activities including cryopreservation of biological samples that arrive daily in the repository. Candidates must be a flexible team player who can change directions quickly and respond to a variety of needs. Suitable experience will include working within logistics within the clinical industry, inventory systems, biological background and have experience working with equipment.

Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany without requiring sponsorship and be able to communicate effectively in English.
