Position Title: Clinical Trial Coordinator (Gastroenterology and Infectious Diseases)
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Hours per week: 38 (part time up to a minimum of 24 hours will be considered)
Position Grade: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 1
Salary: $102,348.27 base salary per annum
Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients with Gastroenterology and Infectious Diseases. The position of Clinical Trial Coordinator involves the management of clinical trials and research projects. The position will be based at St Vincent’s Centre for Applied Medical Research. As a resource for assigned projects, the Clinical Trial Coordinator is required to case manage patients undergoing care within a research project, manage project specific resources, ensure treatment and data collection is in compliance with the Protocol, International Conference on Harmonisation - Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP), Australian regulations and privacy laws.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Clinical Trial Coordinator who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are able to demonstrate their experience according to the selection criteria.

Selection Criteria:

  • Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.

  • Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Registered Nurse and evidence of working as a Registered Nurse in clinical trials that includes the integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking, data analysis and research principles including Good Clinical Practice.

  • Demonstrated ability to work within the interdisciplinary team.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system.

  • Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse.

  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads with in a complex environment.
