Summary:

In this role you will collaborate with Product Management or Business Operations to analyze and formulate user stories and a product backlog for one or multiple products. You will actively participate in planning and design sessions, offering clarifications on product requirements. You will work closely with the Product Owner/Manager to define and validate new product developments or projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and serve as a liaison between end-users, product management, and development to gather, analyze, and document user requirements. Translate these requirements into user stories.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and other stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is well-maintained and prioritized.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, driving discussions during sprint planning and user story refinement.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify cost-effective solutions that align with business requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure the design of the product meets customer requirements.
• Lead, mentor, guide and influence project participants in effective collaboration to drive participation.
• Provide timely and accurate answers to team questions throughout the design, development, and QA testing phases.
• Create SQL queries to retrieve application data and facilitate the identification and resolution of discrepancies.
• Address questions from stakeholders and end-users during user acceptance testing, offering potential options to aid in the resolution process.
• Develop metrics to measure the progress of group or departmental matters and actively participate in organizational initiatives.
• Collaborate with business owners and technical architects to establish a strategic product direction and define project scope.
• Adapt quickly to different development teams, understanding the complexities of the product, and providing guidance and support to junior business analysts.
• Work closely with the Business Analyst (BA) leadership team to shape the strategic direction of the BA function.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 7 years or more relevant experience required.
• Knowledge with Agile (Scrum and XP) business analysis experience with user stories and backlogs required.
• Excellent business requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation.
• Experience working with SQL highly preferred.
• Knowledge of test methodologies preferred.
• Knowledge of Data Analytics/Data Warehousing/Big Data concepts.
• Strong data skills preferred.
• Strong background in Business Intelligence and reporting systems.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $168,800.00.
