Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide Campus - Office of Professional Education is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach the following areas of expertise:

  • Aviation Cybersecurity
  • Aviation Maintenance (FAA A&P licensure or equivalent required)
  • Safety Management Systems (Risk Assessment)
  • Safety Management Plan Implementation (FAA/EASA/ICAO)
  • Sustainable Practices in Aviation/Aerospace Sustainability
  • Specific Operations Risk Assessment (UAS)

Course Description

Instructors teaching under the Worldwide Campus Office of Professional Education are responsible for the complete conduct of each course assigned from beginning to end. They are expected to maintain communications with students within 48 hours of an inquiry. Assignments are to be graded prior to the end of the following week as applicable. If the instructor has a situation that prevents grading or communicating for a short period, the instructor is expected to communicate this to the students and the responsible academic chair for assistance as applicable. 

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California.  ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's or master’s degree in-field or closely related discipline AND commensurate experience in applicable areas of expertise.
