Role Summary

  • Negotiate and approve domestic and international purchases.

  • Supervise site imports and exports (through the Site Traffic Analyst).
  • Manage the development of strategic suppliers for the company (with support from Category Managers).
  • Be responsible for special projects designed to expand the Site’s operational capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with the Site’s annual Savings and OTD (On-Time Delivery) targets.
  • Prepare monthly reports required by Regional Supply Chain Management.
  • Search for, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers (with support from Category Managers).
  • Lead and control the activities of the department’s personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with the purchasing procedure.
  • Comply with the parameters established by the company’s Integrated Management System.
  • Coordinate services with national and international external suppliers and negotiate costs.
  • Maintain continuous, accurate, and objective communication with Flowserve’s internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties inherent to the position and/or assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Responsabilities

  • Approve purchase orders according to the DOA (Delegation of Authority).

  • Report monthly savings for all business units.
  • Report OTD performance and take preventive/corrective actions to maintain optimal percentages in line with established targets.
  • Track and control pending tasks of assigned personnel.
  • Review and approve contracts for the acquisition of goods and services required by the company.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures for the Purchasing and Foreign Trade area.
  • Train assigned personnel on corporate procedures and best practices.
  • Expedite material delivery for critical orders.
  • Identify the most efficient and cost-effective supply sources while ensuring quality of goods.
  • Establish priorities to ensure timely project completion.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and conditions with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Justify exceptions to corporate-established payment terms.
  • Evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Requirenments

Act as the department leader responsible for ensuring associates comply with Safety Rules, as well as Pure Safety and Observation objectives, ensuring safe behavior within the Supply Chain team.

  • Ensure the Supply Chain Department complies with local procedures and Flowserve corporate policies.
  • Support and attend Quality Audits (internal or external) conducted within the Querétaro QRC Supply Chain Department.
  • Ensure that suppliers and contractors performing work on-site are informed of the requirements and rules they must follow.
  • Review and update, when necessary, the Supply Chain procedures for Querétaro QRC.
