Shift: Monday - Friday, 10 am - 6 pm plus mandatory overtime as required

Job Summary

Facilitates overall administration of production and warehouse teammate training programs.  Serves as primary liaison for inter-shift trainings, facilitating training inquiries and coordinating with Human Resources and internal trainers to ensure teammate training is delivered in a consistent, timely, and well-organized manner.  Promotes, tracks, delivers, and evaluates production and warehouse operations training, ensuring trainings align with overall initiatives.

Core responsibilities

  • Partners with HR Generalist to create training schedules for production and warehouse to ensures all training tasks are completed in accordance with relevant standard operating procedures.

  • Interacts directly with HR Specialist/Coord; Human Resources Department, Supervisors and Departmental Managers advising on any specific training needs or gaps in training plan execution and observes safety.

  • Supports the company Quality Policy, Mission Statement and ISO Quality System.

  • Facilitates Orientation and job simulations for on-boarding teammates, as the alternate to the HR Generalist.

  • Work with HR Generalist and HR Manager to analyze different production/warehouse jobs and identify specific tasks/skills required for each.

  • Facilitates SOP training and updates SOP’s; visuals aids, work instructions and training materials and communicates changes as needed.

  • Updates and maintains all training database(s) and records included but not limited to the Job Skill Matrices.

  • Selects or develops training aids as needed such as training handbooks, demonstration samples, visual aids, etc.

  • Works with Production Team Auditors and Department Leads to ensure training is delivered per plan, correctly documented and verified.

  • Evaluates and monitor’s new teammates training plan progress through follow-up observation sessions from a teammate’s first day of employment through their first 90 days of employment with evaluations administered to newly hired teammates in 30, 60, and 90 day increments.

  • Participates in Training Review Board Activities.

Qualifying experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates Degree in technical discipline a plus.

  • Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Minimum 1 year experience as MTM3, MTM4 preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing facility Standard Operating Procedures, compliance, and safety training highly preferred.

  • HR or Manufacturing Training a plus.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to instruct individuals and groups in various learning techniques and to obtain desired training results.

  • Working knowledge of Excel (including graph and pivot table generation), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access database, ETQ, SAP and other software required to develop and maintain training program.

  • Ability to meet productivity standards, work efficiently, and in a timely manner.

  • Self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Good organizational skills with ability to work with attention to detail, and provide follow up.

  • Good interpersonal and facilitation skills required to establish effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions, demonstrate group presentation skills, and participate in meetings.

  • Ability to prepare and maintains accurate reports, metrics, and other tracking tools.

  • Ability to maintain high service and work performance levels, and to support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment.

  • Must be willing to complete training courses as deemed necessary by HR Manager.

  • Solid knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

  • Adapts to changing environments and varying daily tasks easily.

  • Ability to learn job-related material through verbal instruction and observation, in an on-the-job setting, or through assigned reading and/or seminars
