Job Description

What is the opportunity?

RBC Wealth Management is the wealth management division of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), one of the largest financial institutions in Canada and a leading global bank. It provides comprehensive wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals, families, and institutions, offering tailored solutions in investment management, financial planning, private banking, and trust services. With a strong global presence, RBC Wealth Management operates across key markets, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and other international regions, serving clients through a network of experienced advisors and digital platforms. ​This role is part of the Banking & Treasury Ops department of Wealth Management Asia. Responsible for timely and accurate end to end processing of trades according to cut off and SLAs.

Working Hours : 9.00AM -6.00PM

What will you do?

1. Client First & KPI

  • Trade processing of Loan, Deposits & establish new credit facilities in systems.
  • Input and maintain credit information in book of record and related databases to ensure all facilities are correctly recorded.
  • Assist with preparation of Regulatory report and reports for Management information
  • Maintain and archive credit administration files
  • Approve loan draw downs and collateral releases as appropriate
  • Processing of FX, FX Derivatives, & Remittances
  • Responsible for the effective management and resolution of discrepancies of payments / receipts with clients or counterparties
  • Receive/Deliver settlement instructions
  • Management of Failed Trades and Process Improvement Projects

2. Risk Awareness and Escalation

  • Adherence to procedures and all control points in place
  • Ensure all queries are addressed promptly and accurately
  • Demonstrate clear understanding and adherence to WM escalation protocol

3. Change Management & Transformation

  • Review process flows and initiate process improvements via change requests, defects. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in projects, strategic initiatives and testing

4. Professionalism and Growth

  • Demonstrate clear understanding and apply the RBC Values, cultures and leadership model in all daily dealings
  • Active enrollment in courses offered by Learning & Development team and to apply knowledge gained in day to day processing
  • Provide relief support and other duties assigned and cross train on all functions performed with the team and across department

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Preferably 1-2 years of working experiences within a Private Bank or Wealth Management environment, however fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Understanding of treasury fundamentals (interest rate, FOREX). Good computer skills.
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal) in the English Language
  • Committed and responsible with an attitude to ensure accuracy and completeness Nice-to-have
  • Familiarity with Avaloq system, experience with managing client data

Nice-to-have

  • Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline
