Group Cyber is a highly specialised (with broad skillset requirements) business function that ensures Cyber Safety and Security is properly managed across the Group which is one of the top concerns for the board. The Group Cyber function aims to provide independent oversight of Qantas Group's Cyber risks exposure to CEO and board. Group Cyber function covers across Qantas Group (incl. QA, JQ, QL), uplifting and sustaining effective Cyber practices and embed Cyber as a business risk across the Group. This role is a senior Cyber leadership position, reporting directly to the Group Chief Security Information Officer (CISO) and will be instrumental in supporting critical organisational Cyber transformations and day-to-day activities. As part of the Cyber Leadership Team, they will work closely together in driving Cyber Safety Culture, defining internal & external Operating Model, establishing technical Cyber capabilities and leading our Safety aligned Governance regime.
The Head of Group Cyber, Business Protect (Architecture, Digital and Cloud) is responsible for leading Cyber Strategic Leadership, focusing on integrating business priorities, emerging technologies (with a focus on Cyber Security Architecture and Design), and industry trends into strategic plans. It includes developing and managing a medium-term Cyber strategy and ensuring alignment across teams to drive innovation. The role also emphasizes governance, risk management, and the development of organizational design and roles within Cyber. Providing thought leadership, benchmarking practices, and conducting research on Cyber trends are key responsibilities. Additionally, the role requires managing the governance and reporting cycle, including delivering insights and performance metrics to senior management, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
