The Clinical Nurse I is responsible for the direct provision of effective and comprehensive nursing care.

This is a full-time evening position, 10 am - 10 pm, which includes weekdays and weekends at the Electrophysiology Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian / Columbia University Irving Medical Center - 3 days a week (On Call included)

Required Criteria:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Complete Nurse Residency Program if new Graduate.

• Current New York State RN Licensure.

• Knowledge of nursing process: social, behavioral, biological and physical science.

• Knowledge of current health care environment.

• Knowledge of customer service principles.

• Knowledge of effective interpersonal communication skills.

• Knowledge of use of computer applications.

• Ability to analyze patient care data to deliver and evaluate care.

• BCLS certification.

• ACLS certification within 90 days of hire/transfer required.

Preferred Criteria:

• 1+ year of Cardiac Cath, EP, or IR experience.

• 1+ year of ICU clinical experience strongly preferred.
