Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Structures Engineer to join our dynamic aerospace engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and optimization of aircraft structural components, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and performance specifications. The role involves utilizing advanced engineering software and analytical methods to conduct structural analysis and stress evaluations. A strong background in aerospace structural engineering is essential, including extensive knowledge of materials, structural mechanics, and finite element analysis (FEA) tools. The ideal candidate will possess, Excellent problem-solving skills, Strong attention to detail and strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Serve as SME and team lead (15+ members) for structural analysis and stress evaluations
• Manage project schedules, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet customer expectations
• Technical customer liaison; Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members
• Support proposal development, effort estimation, and technical presentations to stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tools, processes, and methodologies
• Prepare and review stress certification dossiers
• A350/A350F experience with OEM tools/methods preferred
Professional & Technical Skills:
• Proficient in primary and secondary structural analysis for A320SA, A350, and A350F programs, with strong expertise in specific tools and methodologies.
• Experienced in stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures using ISAMI (CFH, MFH, CFA/MFA, MSP, CSPS, DT TI, DT EI, Unfolding, Crippling Junctions and Joints) as well as classical hand calculations.
• Skilled in leading and managing teams of 15+ engineers, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met.
• Extensive hands-on experience with HyperWorks, ISAMI, and Nastran/Patran for structural analysis and simulation.
• Proficient in the creation, validation, and condensation of GFEM/DFEM models.
• Adept at technical communication and coordination with customers, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements.
• Experienced in mentoring and technically guiding team members, including delivering training sessions.
• Competent in the preparation and peer-review of stress certification dossiers in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Additional skills include programming with VBA/Python and proficiency in CATIA, enhancing automation and CAD integration capabilities.
• Strong ability to perform and accurately interpret both automated and manual stress calculations.
• Proficient in metallic/composite structure stress analysis
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and certification requirements
• Strong manual/automated stress calculation and airworthiness compliance
• Effective communication, mentoring, and leadership
• Programming (VBA/Python) and CATIA knowledge is advantageous
