Join the Technology team which is responsible for supporting the trading, back office and analytics database estate as well as the data pipelines that feed the trading analytics platform, along with database support. 

The Junior Data Systems Support will work closely with the Data and Trading teams. This role needs a problem solver and somebody willing to learn, with excellent communications skills, a team player able to help others to deliver the companies objectives.

What you’ll be involved in:

• Provide first line support for the trading data pipelines and systems used around the world
• Monitor and maintain the data pipelines and systems
• Help support PostgreSQL databases
• Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure the tools delivered are supportable and fit for purpose
• Help Quantitative Developers and Traders to navigate the data estate
• Ensure documentation is in place for all tooling to be handed over into support

What we need from you:

• Ability to troubleshoot and think of creative solutions to problems
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Proactive, and demonstrates ability to follow issues through to resolution
• A self-motivated problem solver and intellectually curious
• Attention to detail
• A desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Good working knowledge of Linux
• Good understanding of PostgreSQL from a Database Administrator point of view
• Some Python understanding is desirable but not essential
