FLSA Status: FT, Salaried

Pay: The expected hiring range for this position is from $100,000-$125,000/year plus additional bonus opportunity.

The stated hiring range is based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Final compensation decisions will take into account a variety of considerations, including individual skills, internal equity, and organizational needs.

JOB SUMMARY

The Post Closing Manager is responsible for managing all key functions ‘post-closing’ including clearing investor conditions, government Insuring, collateral tracking, auditing, file ingestion from closing Attorney and Final Docs. The Post Closing Manager will manage a dynamic team, effectively coaching Post Closing team members and being the point of contact for all items Post Closing while maintaining exceptional service levels to our internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the Vice President, Capital Markets.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Leadership/Performance Management:

  • Lead, Manage and hold team members accountable for all things related to the post closing process.
  • Participate and lead monthly/quarterly calls with Audit and Internal Reporting to explore opportunities for origination efficiency and Investor scorecard improvements.
  • Manage daily workflow of pipelines for personnel.
  • Hire, train and develop team on Silverton’s Post Closing Department’s Policies and Procedures.  Building trust and provide clarity to improve confidence, knowledge, and communication skills.

Post Closing Workflow Management:

  • Optimize asset purchase cycle times including analyzing GSE & Aggregator trends.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Capital Markets Leadership to strategize on best practices to optimize best execution.
  • Oversees the evaluation and refinement of operational procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Leverage and refine existing technology solutions while exploring additional technology improvements to maximize scalability.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while interfacing with closing agents, Borrowers, Investor representatives, Loan Officers and other Department Managers.

File Review & Compliance

  • Ensure all relevant documentation has been secured post-closing to satisfy audit, regulatory and servicing requirements.  Follow up and obtain outstanding documentation.
  • Manage Scratch and Dent due diligence process and clearing when trades are available and necessary.
    • Identify and resolve any post-closing issues, including purchase deficiencies, insuring issues, and quality control findings or trending conditions to gain efficiencies.
    • Provide feedback to Operations leadership and stakeholders to uphold QC standards.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
 

Education:  Must have High School diploma, bachelor’s degree is preferred.   

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ mortgage experience to include underwriting, closing knowledge and auditing. Experience as underwriter for all programs is a plus.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations (TRID, RESPA, TILA) and agency/investor closing requirements
  • Must have working knowledge of mortgage operations lifecycle including Underwriting and Closing with specific attention to Guidelines and State/Federal Regs.
  • Strong detail orientation and highly organized.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment; strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate skills in computer skills.  Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • 30% communication methods completed over the phone.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information at all times.
  • Constantly works in an indoor temperature controlled, sealed window office environment.
