We are recruiting for a Supervisor to join the Consumer Finance Directorate at the FCA, offering the chance to make a difference to the 40 million consumers of financial products and the stability of our economy.
We welcome candidates with financial sector or regulatory expertise, but this is not essential. What matters is that you have ability to use your curiosity and drive to identify harms and take appropriate steps to address them to ensure that the right outcome is achieved for consumers.
The Credit & Debt Services team supervises a wide range of firms across three portfolios: Credit Reference Agencies, Debt Advice, Debt Collections, Purchase and Administration. Our work is focussed towards driving improvements for consumers and the portfolios at a time of considerable change in the UK’s financial sector including helping tackle the ongoing impacts of the cost-of-living. Our priority is to ensure consumer interests are central to the firms within each of our portfolios. We expect customers to be treated fairly and be able to get affordable products and services that meet their needs.
The role will give you the opportunity to build excellent stakeholder, investigative and project management skills, taking action that improves the way firms in Consumer Finance operate ultimately delivering better outcomes for consumers. We are looking for people with sound judgement and investigative/diagnostic skills and experiences and welcome applications from a full range of backgrounds and industries.
