Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Data Analyst (multiple openings) in Atlanta, GA.

Essential Responsibilities:

The Lead Data Analyst (multiple openings) position is responsible for designing and building relational database models and defining data requirements to meet the business needs. This role develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of databases; foster value creation from the use of the internal organization’s data assets, as well as from the external data ecosystem; and source the value through envisioning data-enabled strategies as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics, data and analytics governance, and enterprise information policy.

Specific duties include: (1) creating design principles and preparing technical and infrastructure architecture deliverables that meet business requirements and customer needs; (2) participating in product design recommendations that span the entire infrastructure framework; (3) writing scripts and commands for data manipulation; (4) planning and conducting database unit and systems tests; monitoring results and taking corrective actions; monitoring and resolving database performance, capacity, data integrity, and replication issues; (5) designing and building data mappings & high-quality ETL data solutions for migrating existing source data from heterogeneous sources to Salesforce Service cloud (CRM); (6) driving prioritization of data requests, considering organizational goals and strategic plan; (7) assisting with evaluation, participation in, and management of comparative databases to reduce duplication and ensure maximum return on investment; (8) responsible for data governance, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data definitions across the organization when possible; (9) managing the entire analytics life cycle by performing Data Analysis, Quality Analysis, Data Migration, Data Cleansing, Transformation, Integration, Data Import, and Data Export on source data by using Python, SQL and ETL tools; (10) supporting the gathering and interpretation of data; drawing conclusions and formulating recommendations to assist in quality, safety and strategic initiatives; (11) developing visualizations using Tableau; (12) reviewing and analyzing the quality of data loaded into the database system by using SQL and Python; and (13) using the following tools and technologies: SQL, PLSQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Geo-spatial tools and ETL tools.

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or Management Information Systems and 5 years (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience working with data analytics by designing and building data mappings.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must also have 24 months of experience with each of the following: (1) designing and building data mappings & high-quality ETL data solutions for migrating existing source data from heterogeneous sources to Salesforce Service cloud (CRM); (2) managing the entire analytics life cycle by performing Data Analysis, Quality Analysis, Data Migration, Data Cleansing, Transformation, Integration, Data Import, and Data Export on source data by using Python, SQL and ETL tools; (3) reviewing and analyzing the quality of data loaded into the database system by using SQL and Python; (4) developing visualizations using Tableau; and (5) using the following tools and technologies: SQL, PLSQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, Geo-spatial tools and ETL tools. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.

This position is with Elavon, Inc., a U.S. Bank company.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $171,267 -$188,394.
