Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

  • Supports the maintenance of network hardware and structured wiring systems.
  • Supports problem resolution. 
  • Provides instructional support to less experienced staff.
  • Runs testing routines or scripts provided by engineering staff; may conduct more complex testing to meet specified requirements.
  • Maintains LAN and WLAN Systems in accordance with specified requirements.
  • Performs Network IMACD work for customer, based on ticket requests.
  • Provides consultation, support and guidance to clients on IMACD issues/questions.
  • Participates in network team efforts to ensure DXC meets client needs.
  • Ensure full accounting and receipt of all network equipment delivered into the warehouse.
  • Pulls and stages equipment from inventory for use in projects or IMACS.
  • Prepares and labels equipment for shipping, arranges pickup/delivery with shipping providers.
  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory database used for network equipment moving through the warehouse.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in networks IMACD activities (Hands-On)
  • Cisco Systems familiarity
    • Switching (switching layer 2 and 3)
    • Wireless
    • Voice Handsets
  • Understanding of TCP/UDP IP Protocol
  • Knowledge of industrial networking an asset
  • ServiceNow experience preferred
    • Task management
    • Change management
    • Problem management
    • Asset management
  • Experience working with network systems, networking principles
  • Experience working with network software and hardware
  • Experience working with proprietary software and hardware
  • Experience working with inventory and systems used in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift training certification

  • Skilled in time, priority, and task management
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members and support personnel
  • Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills for IMACD of network infrastructure
