What you will do
As part of our Research & Development team you will get the exciting opportunity to design, develop and test mechanical components, machinery, and systems. This role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards.
How you will do it
- Design plastic mouldings for electronic products, which are components of safety systems
- Liaise with Engineering Staff, Draftsmen & Technical Authors
- Liaise with factory production engineering and test engineering
- Support manufacturing during new product introduction
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers, including approvals organizations
- Follow and maintain engineering documentation and design standards.
- Stay up to date with engineering best practices and technology advancements.
What we look for
Required
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fiedl
- Several years of experience in plastic and sheet metal design and tooling
- Experienced in interfacing with manufacturing, suppliers & contractors
- 3D CAD package experience
- Fluent English
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (ASME, UL, etc.) is a plus.
Preferred
- Experience with Creo / ProE / AutoCAD
