What you will do

As part of our Research & Development team you will get the exciting opportunity to design, develop and test mechanical components, machinery, and systems. This role entails working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product performance and compliance with industry standards.

How you will do it

• Design plastic mouldings for electronic products, which are components of safety systems
• Liaise with Engineering Staff, Draftsmen & Technical Authors
• Liaise with factory production engineering and test engineering
• Support manufacturing during new product introduction
• Liaise with suppliers and service providers, including approvals organizations
• Follow and maintain engineering documentation and design standards.
• Stay up to date with engineering best practices and technology advancements.

What we look for

Required

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fiedl
• Several years of experience in plastic and sheet metal design and tooling
• Experienced in interfacing with manufacturing, suppliers & contractors
• 3D CAD package experience
• Fluent English
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (ASME, UL, etc.) is a plus.

Preferred

• Experience with Creo / ProE / AutoCAD
