Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Manager Law BP. The Legal Manager for the Global Legal Organization of Johnson & Johnson – Innovative Medicine in Latin America North, supporting the business in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador.

The successful candidate will serve from our offices in Bogotá, Colombia, as an in-house counsel and legal business partner, handle legal matters and projects, ensure the legality of commercial transactions, advise our company on wide range of proposed business initiatives and projects in areas such as sales and marketing, tenders, regulatory affairs, contracts, ethics and compliance, litigation, privacy, and intellectual property. The main responsibilities associated with this position are:

• Providing advice on private and public commercial contracting, including public tenders, and other legal areas, such as competition law, employment law, corporate law, health regulations and other related topics.
• Supporting the local HCC and Privacy organizations and other functions (i.e. Quality, Finance, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Market Access), ensuring compliance with our Code of Business Conduct and relevant corporate policies.
• Contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating in several areas, including distribution and sales agreements.

• Drafting corporate minutes, including board resolutions, powers of attorney and other corporate documents.

• Supporting mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

• Giving guidance to employees on day-to-day legal matters and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, including training on key legal topics such as essentials of competition law, anti-corruption laws and public procurement.
• Integrating Johnson & Johnson’s C.E.O Principles into personal and professional goals and decision making.
• Communicating and dealing with external parties (regulators, outside counsel, public authorities, etc.), in a compliant and ethical manner, creating relations of trust.

• Managing outside counsel and the departmental budget related to Innovation Medicine in LAN.

• Monitoring and analyzing critical new legislation and regulations that may impact on the business or its reputation in LAN.
• Working with the IP Group at Corporate to manage our IP portfolio for the Innovative Medicine business in LAN ensuring close connection with the business in terms of our IP Protection Framework.

• Collaborating with other members of the Legal Organization in LAN and across Latin America region to develop and optimize systems and processes.
• Applies AI to enhance workflows and decision making
• Interprets AI outputs with appropriate human judgment
• Understands responsible AI use in regulated environments
