We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff – MTS to join our Engineering team within our Pune division. Your job will be to ensure that the scale and quality of the software that meets the requirements of customers and other stakeholders working with the Product Management team and the User Experience Team. You will work with other teams to ensure a coherent, forward looking product features. But enough about us; let’s talk about you.
You are a developer who is well versed in front end technologies for API development and savvy in building highly available and resilient large-scale applications. You will be responsible for technical leadership, building solutions, coaching and mentoring the team.
The Team: Athenahealth Clinicals – Accelerators (ONCHT) is a team focused on developing web apps and microservices using Agile, Jira, Bitbucket and much more with tech-stack Perl, Java, React-JS, as it is vital in enhancing the SDLC workflow, developer experience, and the discovery of code relationships both in the monolith and microservice SDLC pipelines. This team is innovative, passionate, and driven by our mission to help make an impact.
Job Responsibilities
· Follow agile methodology for software development
· Estimate the size of development tasks in story points estimation
· Understand and follow coding conventions, with design & architecture best practices and adhere to story definition of done
· Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
· Collaborate with various Core Engineering teams to understand interfaces, dependencies and inter-operability.
Typical Qualifications
· 2 – 5 years of overall experience in developing, delivering large scale software applications (SaaS and on-premises)
· Strong Knowledge of programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript/jQuery, and basics of Perl
· Familiarity with Unix/Linux, SQL, and various other technologies
· Exposure to object-oriented programming, relational database technologies, RESTful API, and Modern JS frameworks like React
· Exposure to test automation frameworks like JUnit, Selenium, Rest Assured, Mocha and Chai etc.
· Exposure to build and configuration management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git, BitBucket etc.)
