Job Description
The University of Oklahoma Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure physician with Board Certification/Eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology to join our expanding Cardiovascular Division. This is a full-time faculty role at a major academic medical center, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality care while contributing to trainee education, quality initiatives, and scholarly work. OU Health is the state’s only academic quaternary referral center, with a rapidly expanding cardiovascular service line performing 250+ open-heart surgeries and 120+ structural heart procedures annually. The institution is launching a durable LVAD program in 2026, supported by dedicated CVICU, cardiogenic shock pathways, and a strong surgical partner with expertise in advanced heart failure therapy (temporary MCS, durable LVAD, and transplant).The Advanced HF physician will play a central leadership role in building the HF/MCS program, shaping clinical pathways, and preparing the institution for future transplant readiness.
