About the role:

Forter is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to bring our product vision to life. This role is pivotal in shaping a seamless platform that encapsulates the Forter story across the entire user journey in digital commerce. Forter is actively involved at every step, and your mission will be to craft and refine this experience as part of our platform.

As the leader of a new team of full-stack and front-end engineers within the Customer Experience (CX) Engineering group, you will own the platform where our customers interact with Forter daily. Now more than ever, we are focused on creating a unified platform that integrates Forter’s diverse offerings—Fraud Prevention, Payments, Identities, Chargeback Recoveries, and more. This is your opportunity to lead impactful work at the core of Forter’s mission.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead and mentor a brand new team of 5 talented software engineers, fostering a culture of delivery, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Create platform parts that’ll deliver value in multiple aspects: reflecting Forter’s ROI, product-led sales, proactive alerting, and more.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, product designers, and executives to iteratively develop, improve, and release.
  • Balance priorities between new feature development, stability, and system resilience.
  • Act as an owner of mission-critical systems, leading technical vision and investment discussions in partnership with the product team.
  • You’ll be technically engaged, with a willingness to dive into code reviews, architectural discussions, and occasional hands-on contributions when necessary to unblock the team or guide technical decisions.

What you'll need:

  • A relentless, get-things-done attitude individual. You love winning and exceeding goals. 
  • A savvy engineering manager - you’ve been leading a team of 4+ engineers, in the last 4 years.
  • You’re an effective leader - your people know what is expected of them, you’re there for your people and you help them grow to their full potential.
  • A full-stack engineer at heart, with 6+ years of experience
  • You’re highly experienced with: NodeJS, React, AWS or other major cloud vendors, various data stores such as: ElasticSearch / mySQL / Snowflake / Redis and Event-driven architectures
  • You have a strong background of working closely with product managers and product designers.
  • You’re excellent at keeping your eyes on the ball and managing priorities - distractions and curveballs will always be there, and you will need to maintain healthy priorities with your product managers.
  • You deal well with fuzziness - by methodologically clearing it.
  • You’re a team player who knows how to harness and coordinate with his peers to get things done.
  • Excellent communication skills in English
