SUMMARY

The Data Validation Intern supports data quality and governance initiatives by assisting with the review, validation, and analysis of structured enterprise data. The intern gains hands-on experience in data validation, auditing, and reporting while contributing to accurate, reliable, and well-documented data used across business and technology teams.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assists in validating data across enterprise systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Identifies data gaps, anomalies, and inconsistencies, and document findings for remediation
  • Supports data quality, auditing, and compliance-related projects, including cybersecurity and risk-related datasets
  • Works with structured data from databases, project management platforms, and reporting tools
  • Performs data analysis and validation using SQL, Python, and data analysis tools
  • Develops and maintains validation reports, dashboards, and documentation using Power BI and related tools
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and validation rules
  • Maintains clear documentation of data issues, validation logic, and resolution outcomes
  • Communicates findings clearly through written reports and verbal discussions
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE  

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify data quality issues and inconsistencies
  • Experience or academic exposure to data validation, data quality, auditing, or cybersecurity-related projects
  • Familiarity with structured data and enterprise systems such as databases, SQL, and project management tools
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Power BI and data analysis techniques
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and validation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured, professional environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing) in Information Systems, Finance, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Project or internship experience related to data analysis, data validation, auditing, or cybersecurity support is preferred
