What Global Business Services Risk and Controls contributes to Cardinal Health

GBS Risk and Controls supports Global Business Financial Services by helping maintain a robust control environment, implementing effective monitoring systems, and evaluating the risks of future projects.

Within GBS Risk and Controls, Finance Services Risk and Controls is responsible for the implementation of monitoring systems to help oversight and overall performance of core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense.

Responsibilities

  • Applies knowledge of auditing, accounting, and internal control concepts to evaluate financial and operational business activities.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of process flows, process documentation, and internal control identification.

  • Leverages project management skills to define audit monitoring systems that provide efficient visibility to control performance and risk.

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to interact with others in a constructive manner that builds trust.

  • Clearly and accurately documents business processes and related audit findings.

  • Works closely with Shared Service, Internal Audit, External Audit, and other business partners.

  • Responsible for evaluating new opportunities to expand continuous monitoring and other improvement activities to assess the appropriateness of existing controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 2+ years experience in finance/risk related field, preferred

  • Strong analytical thinker with proven problemsolving ability, preferred

  • Experienced in managing projects, timelines, and crossfunctional workstreams, preferred

  • Solid understanding of audit processes, risk controls, and compliance requirements, preferred

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • May contribute to the development of policies and procedures

  • Works on complex projects of large scope

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives

Anticipated salary range: $67,500.00 - $96,300.00
