Support Center - Irving

The Area Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for supporting and executing asset protection and safety initiatives across multiple store locations within an assigned area. This role focuses on reducing shrink, supporting safe store operations, identifying operational risks, and assisting with investigations related to theft, fraud, and safety incidents. The Specialist partners closely with store leadership to promote compliance with company policies and create a safe and secure environment for both customers and Team Members. This position reports to the Manager- Asset Protection & Safety- Stores.

Major Activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular store visits to support and coach store teams on asset protection and shrink reduction best practices.
  • Walk sales floor and stockroom areas to identify operational vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve merchandise protection.
  • Support the execution of company asset protection programs and initiatives aimed at reducing shrink and minimizing operational risk.
  • Review exception reporting, incident trends, and operational data to identify potential theft or fraud concerns.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to store leadership regarding opportunities for improvement and compliance.

Safety and Incident Prevention

  • Support stores in maintaining compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulations.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and partner with store leadership on corrective actions.
  • Assist with safety walks, audits, and follow-up on accident prevention initiatives.
  • Support training and awareness related to safety procedures, emergency response, and safe work practices.
  • Assist in reviewing incidents and documenting findings to support resolution and prevention efforts.

Investigations

  • Support investigations related to internal and external theft, fraud, and safety incidents.
  • Gather evidence, review reports, conduct interviews when appropriate, and document findings according to company standards.
  • Partner with store leadership, Human Resources, and Asset Protection leadership regarding investigative findings and next steps.
  • Monitor operational trends and behaviors through reporting tools to identify potential risk indicators.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all investigative processes

Reporting

  • Complete store visit recaps, audit documentation, incident reporting, and follow-up action plans in a timely manner.
  • Support tracking of shrink, safety, and operational metrics to identify opportunities and measure progress.
  • Follow up on open action items related to audits, investigations, and safety concerns.
  • Assist leadership in maintaining consistent execution of company asset protection programs across the assigned area.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager.

Minimum Education

  • High School Degree or equivalent

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills

  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn other related systems in support of the role

Minimum Type of Experience the Job Requires

  • 2+ years of retail, operations, asset protection, or multi-unit support experience preferred.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and support problem-solving initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Basic analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience conducting investigations or audits is considered an asset.
  • Able to travel as necessary to assigned stores within the region.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support urgent incidents and operational requirements.
