Summary: As an Application Designer, you will be responsible for assisting in defining requirements and designing applications to meet business process and application requirements using Python. Your typical day will involve working with cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, and designing applications to meet business needs. Roles & Responsibilities: - Individual should have a broad technology background, with primary focus on developing software applications in Python for applications in an IT DevOps environment. - Writing and testing code, debugging programs and integrating applications with third-party web services. - Work with cross functional team to develop AI models/ applications. - Responsible for development effort, for both backend (for example, connecting to databases and running SQLs) and front end. - Support data needs for model training/ensemble the models. - Deploy applications developed to higher environments. - Support architect with security reviews and other questions. - Identify and suggest various opportunities to improve efficiency and functionality. Professional & Technical Skills: - Strong developer in Python with P3/P2 level expertise - Should be proficient with Python 3.6. - Experienced with full software development life cycle, architecting scalable platforms, database design and agile methodologies -Should have development and not just scripting experience (for example, one should know to build a base object and not just import an already built one) - Strong experience using Web Services and APIs in python (using frameworks like Flask, Falcon or Django). - Exposure of working in Agile projects, DevOps platforms, drive technical excellence and implementation of best practices across projects. - Proficiency with basic python libraries for machine learning such as scikit-learn, nltk, numpy and pandas - Working understanding of GIT, Docker, Jenkins, Postman, Swagger Spec -Should know basics of Cloud (AWS and Azure) - Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Apache SOLR, Neo4j graph database - Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN. - Added advantage if experienced in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Text Analytics Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of experience in Python. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
