Job Description

A Lead Engineer, Security and Risk Engineer is responsible for identifying and mitigating security and availability risks for U.S. Bank’s hosting infrastructure. They may also be involved in compliance and risk assessments, and in providing technical guidance to teams.

Responsibilities

  • Driving security initiatives for hosting infrastructure
  • Understanding operational security practices (scanning, detection, reporting, patching, etc.)
  • Participating in compliance and risk assessments
  • Identifying and mitigating security and compliance risks
  • Providing research and analysis related to vulnerability resolution
  • Proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating reliability risks in hosting infrastructure
  • Monitoring performance and driving ongoing availability and compliance improvements
  • Collaborating with partners to influence product design and improvements to increase reliability and compliance
  • Analyzing data and producing reports
  • Analyzing failures and remediating findings
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and providing technical leadership on security and reliability engineering best practices
  • Developing and maintaining documentation

Basic Qualifications

  • -Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • -At least 10 years experience with the concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies.
  • -At least 10 years experience with developing and implementing applications.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Learn or bolster existing information security knowledge and certifications
  • Bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field) or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of information security engineering and infrastructure (servers, databases, middleware, etc.) experience
  • Cloud security experience (AWS or Azure)
  • Experience providing application consulting related to security vulnerability remediation
  • Proficiency in: Service Now, Jira, Git-Hub, Archer, SharePoint, Confluence, Excel, Power Point, Word
  • Ability to lead design and implementation of security automation
  • Mature communication and organizational skills, including the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, regulators, and leadership

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $129,455.00 - $152,300.00 - $167,530.00
