As a DevX Engineering Manager, you will lead and empower a talented team focused on creating and maintaining golden paths and world class development environments for our developers and AI/Data Science communities with a platform as a product mindset. You will product manage your team’s creation and drive adoption as part of the Cloud Platforms Engineering (CPE) directorate. CPE’s mission is to enable our Engineering teams to ship value faster, securely, efficiently and reliably.  

What you will do: 

  • Lead, grow, and empower a team of DevX engineers  

  • Products manage the team’s creation, drive adoption,  and maintain a strong user feedback loop 

  • Help develop a strategic vision for the developer tools and environments and execute agreed roadmaps plans to realize this vision. 

  • Collaborate with developers and AI/Data Science communities across the company to identify pain points in the workflows and prioritize solutions. 

  • Manage the full lifecycle of internal tools and systems, from design through deployment and maintenance. 

  • Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of CI/CD pipelines and development environments. 

  • Promote a culture of continuous development and platform as a product within the team through mentoring, feedback, and performance evaluations. 

  • Monitor and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing tools to continuously improve developer satisfaction and productivity. 

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. 

  • Strong technical background in software development and familiarity with multiple programming languages and development environments. 

  • Proven experience designing and implementing effective developer tools and systems. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and execute methodically. 

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team development and mentorship. 

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams. 

  • Experience with DevOps practices, Azure DevOps, and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) 

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Azure being preferred 

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience facilitating agile development teams.
