Description
 

Position Purpose:

  • Leads analysis on department financial conditions, business compliance matters and effectiveness of strategies and programs to business objectives.  Develops recommendations for senior leadership team for a variety of business issues.

Logistics:

  • This is a full-time position working (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm working on-site at 2401 Faraway Drive Columbia SC 29223, in an office environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Leads the analysis, development, and implementation of financial services and asset management for department planning and control.
  • Directs and manages workload and accuracy of deliverables prepared by assigned staff. Prepares development and career progression plans for assigned staff.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal and state legislations as well as internal policies and procedures. Drives common accounting practices, reconcilements and consistent reporting.
  • Develops proposals with supporting documentation and justification.
  • Provides financial and budget management and analysis for the department. Ensures the development of appropriate pricing models and templates for the department.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's in a job-related field.
  • 8 years of financial analysis experience with either 2 years in a supervisory role OR 2 years of equivalent military experience in grade E4 of above. If CPA, required experience is 6 years.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong communication and decision-making skills. Excellent presentation, organization, and research and skills. Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Excellent analytical and modeling skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts such as discounted cash flow and valuation methodologies.


What we prefer you to have:

  • General Accounting Software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v lookups) a must.
