SUMMARY

A Multimedia Product Designer works with existing and new product designs to develop multimedia format product related drawings, videos, renderings, etc.  This designer position will draw upon product and industry knowledge to develop requested files and output from RFQ information based on input from Sales, the customer, Business Insights, and manufacturing.  Also, maintains current product rendering and video libraries for future use to expedite output.  Communicate regularly with Sales, Business Insights, and Marketing departments to ensure direction of projects is adequate to supply the proper deliverables. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Consult with Sales, Marketing, and Business Insights to define and establish multimedia parameters.
• Develop photo-realistic renderings of current products as well as new products in development.
• Develop 2-D assembly instructions for product designs to provide customers with detailed instructions.
• Develop 3-D animated videos of Madix products including assembly operations and intended use.
• Coordinate with product designers and engineers to understand intended design parameters.
• Communicate with product design team to discuss product design improvements and enhancements.
• Work closely with Marketing and IT departments to advance use of newer technology to promote Madix                                                                                               product multimedia outputs (website, QR codes, apps, etc.).
• Assist with direct product design duties as needed to support the broader Product Engineering department.
• Support product engineering management with creation of product related multimedia output for use in presentations and product design review meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess good communications skills and be comfortable dealing with diverse groups and individuals throughout the organization. 
• Must have a good working knowledge of computers including MS Suite. 
• Must possess extensive knowledge of 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferably).  CAD related multimedia software including SolidWorks Visualize, Keyshot, Cadasio, etc. 
• Ability to multitask and progress several projects simultaneously to achieve on-time delivery of multimedia projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift up to 50 pounds, walk the shop floor, walk up and down stairs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

BS Industrial Design or BS Engineering preferred.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
