About the Role

As a Software Products Solutions Manager, you will be the primary customer-facing authority responsible for shaping, positioning, and delivering solutions that align customer needs with HARMAN’s software products and capabilities toward a strategic roadmap. You will play a critical role in pre-sales and solution definition, ensuring customers derive maximum value from HARMAN software solutions by applying industry best practices and scalable architectures. You will be the technical E2E owner of the customer solution with deep understanding of software products. You will report to the Software Products Solution Management Lead within the Business Growth organization. The team operates in a globally distributed model and works closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Delivery organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a trusted technical and solution advisor to customers across HARMAN’s software product portfolio, primarily for SDV solutions.
  • Engage with customers to understand business objectives and use cases, capture solution requirements, and define optimal end‑to‑end solutions aligned with HARMAN’s software products strategy.
  • Lead the technical aspects of pre‑sales activities, including RFx responses, customer workshops, solution architecture, and opportunity‑specific technical materials.
  • Own and approve the technical scope of Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical contract exhibits prior to customer submission and signature.
  • Identify solution gaps and drive Product vs. Project triage and prioritization in collaboration with Product Management and Solution Engineering.
  • Capture and document detailed technical and functional requirements for customer solutions, spanning both product capabilities and project‑specific implementations.
  • Own solution integrity from award through delivery handover, ensuring technical scope, assumptions, and requirements are correctly translated into delivery artifacts and aligned with Customer Success.
  • Own technical assessment and scope definition for change requests (CRs), extensions, and expansion opportunities, ensuring feasibility, product alignment, and delivery readiness.
  • Responsible for technical handoff (e.g. high-level solution, scope) to professional services teams.
  • Act as a bridge between customers, product management, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solution feasibility and successful execution.
  • Establish structured feedback loops from customer engagements and pursuits into Product Management, Strategy, and Portfolio teams to influence roadmap, prioritization, and go-to-market assets.

What You Need to be Successful
