Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the management and delivery of large-scale / company-wide / transformational projects and / or portfolio of multiple projects.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Document as-is and to-be business processes following consultation with SME’s, highlighting performance opportunities which align with business strategy.
  • Define a portfolio of projects based upon strategy-alignment, and available resources
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, critical success factors, and deliverables by engaging key stakeholders
  • Manage external vendors to ensure they deliver against the standards we expect
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure successful completion of short and long term goals
  • Identify and manage project risks including the development of contingency plans
  • Forecast and manage changes to scope, budget or schedule and approve via a formal project change request; Improve existing processes and procedures by documenting current state and identifying opportunities to streamline
  • Create and report project status to executive committee.
  • Contribute to the shared knowledge base of the organization through phase and project lessons learned sessions and continually-develop and improve our project management approach, templates and processes
  • Develop business case prior to each deployment and measure results after Go-Live
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including Project charters, SOW, WBS, Risk register etc.
  • Integrate a change management response, by assessing the level of change required, and the risks to adoption

Qualifications:

  • Five to seven years direct work experience in project management capacity
  • Proven experience in implementing IT systems across departments
  • Proven experience of working in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Medical / warehouse background is a strong asset
  • Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Methodologies Training or Certification. PMP designation is preferable
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset
  • Familiarity with a change management methodology, such as ProSci, is an asset
  • Fully proficient in the use of MS Project or other PM tools
  • SAP, or other applicable ERP, experience considered an asset 

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$76,000.00 - $114,000.00 Annual
