Job Description: 

As today's Intel processor technology progresses with higher complexities and faster delivery time to the market, the CPU Validation team is tasked to meet these new technological challenges by ensuring all CPU designs meet or exceed the quality goals in the most efficient way possible. As a Validation Execution Engineer, you will be part of the CPU post-silicon team performing system validation on many of Intel's next generation processor designs.

Main responsibility is drive and execute validation qualification processes across platforms to uncover and debug test and silicon bugs. This encompasses:

  • Run custom designed test content to qualify feature functionality and perform failure triage

  • Analyze execution data and performance monitors to optimize the running of test content suites and to gauge product health in the shortest amount of time

  • Debug and isolate system/platform issues

  • Tune/optimize system hardware and software parameters to improve validation efficiency

  • Develop new software, automation, indicators and infrastructure tools to improve product validation efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering and preferably with experience in system/post-silicon validation, test development or silicon design.

  • Knowledge/experience in CPU architecture, computer system or CPU features, C/C++ programming/Python/Perl or any other form of scripting.

  • Experienced in embedded systems or debug tools and platform debug is an added advantage.
