How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?


 

The Market Development & Strategy team is the strategic compass for Air Liquide E&C, focusing on understanding market trends, customer ambitions, and competitive landscapes to drive growth. The mission is to identify our technology's unique benefits and value propositions, promote E&C technology and enhance E&C visibility, and evaluate all strategic opportunities for maximizing impact.

The team is composed of 8 team members of several nationalities, based in Frankfurt, Paris (Charenton), Houston and Hangzhou, and works in close collaboration with local cluster teams in the World, Air Liquide WBL teams, and other departments of Air Liquide Group.

As a Competitive Intelligence Analyst you will contribute to this mission by:
- Competitive research and gathering intelligence on E&C technologies, both internally and externally, with a primary focus on air gases, low-carbon hydrogen/ammonia (or related energy transition techno), and green methanol.
- Managing E&C's market monitoring process, actively capturing, categorizing, and synthesizing relevant information to populate E&C’s technology databases.
- Supporting the team in data-analytics and data consolidation, through reports and performance analyses, dashboards, presentations & tools.
- Support internal communication regarding competitor activities, strategic insights and industry trends.
- Ad Hoc support (market analysis, competitor profiling)
- Support integration of AI (Gemini, Notebook LM, others) into workflows
- Development of dashboards (via Power BI or other tools)
- Optionally, maintain the automated data collection tool utilizing Python scripts for web data extraction

Are you a match?


 

Education: Bachelor / Master in the field of chemical engineering, natural sciences, engineering, or chemistry

Must have:
- Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills .
- Strong data analysis skills - ability to abstract, simplify, and extract key insights from data
- Strong knowledge of Power BI, G Suite environment (Google Docs/Sheets/Slides), and Gemini.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.

Nice to have:
- Experience in marketing and market research. 
- Business acumen and knowledge on industrial processes and decarbonization is a plus
- Baseline in data processing/analytics code (Python) or Large Language Models (LLM) or other AI tools
