As part of a hardworking team of diverse human resource specialists, you will be responsible talent management practices across Blue Origin. In this role, you will share in the team’s impact on all aspect of talent management programs and practices to align with the company’s goals.  The talent practices that you will be responsible for are core to creating and maintaining a culture of high performance and growth.  Specifically, this role will design and deliver solutions that are experienced by all employees and leaders that foster a high bar for performance and drive a feedback rich culture; identify and promote employees ready for expanded scope; and improve readiness of talent for roles across the company. You will both attend to detail and influence senior leaders’ attitudes and behavior about systematic talent review, engaging in intentional talent growth plans, and supporting purposeful, intentional development to identify and develop the talent Blue Origin needs. You will both build from scratch as well as revamp talent processes continually, using data and insights from employees and managers and industry practices as the foundation for determining what is right for Blue Origin.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate to develop and deliver on Blue’s talent strategy by designing and connecting all of our practices, programs, and processes to our philosophy on high performance.
  • Assess, create, and implement talent processes, tools, and mechanisms, that are well fitted for Blue Origin’s needs based on both user centered design and industry practices. These processes include performance management, promotions, succession planning, and talent readiness.
  • Create process improvement mechanisms including automation on some of the existing processes/ tools to ensure standardization and consistency as we scale.
  • Maintain a consistent pulse on employee sentiment on the value of our strategy and ensure a customer-focused experience.
  • Provide partnership to HR Business Partners on strategic talent priorities, designing unique solutions and customizations to meet diverse business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area such as HR Management, Psychology, or Organization Development and 15+ years of experience in talent management
  • Successful enterprise-wide talent management responsibility to include either starting from scratch and/or building on others’ work to improve existing processes.
  • Deep expertise of HR processes, especially performance management, supporting culture change, talent review and calibration.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, a process improvement mentality and ability to influence others with data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience driving development and change of talent programs with large scale organization, with strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Org Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR Management or Management strongly preferred 
  • Experience across multiple HR functional areas and types of roles
  • Ability to figure things out without a road map, transform organizations, as well as break the mold in terms of ways to re-frame and solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as prioritization and planning skills – with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience including scoping, leading and delivering complex projects. A track record succession across all phases including design, implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $151,109.25-$211,552.95

Other site ranges may differ

Benefits include:  Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
