Our Company

Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.

We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

The Opportunity

Adobe is seeking a skilled and innovative Security Development Engineer to join our Security Engineering team. In this role, you will build the foundational security data platforms that power multiple security teams across the organization.

You will move beyond traditional log analysis to design and develop a Security Knowledge Graph that connects vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, exceptions, and asset context across our global infrastructure. This will enable faster detection of protection gaps, improve incident response, faster remediation of vulnerabilities and strengthen Adobe’s overall security posture at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Bridge Security visibility gap : Enable security teams to access complex logs from various security tools by bridging the Security Visibility Gap. Turn raw data into clean, reliable, and consumable datasets. Identify, integrate, and normalize diverse data sources including security scanning tools, cloud security posture management (CSPM) platforms, and internal CMDBs.
  • Drive Automation & DevSecOps: Develop and build production-grade Python services to automate complex security workflows. Replace manual processes with scalable, resilient, and technology-based solutions following DevSecOps guidelines.
  • Build a Security Knowledge Graph: Develop data models and relationships that link vulnerabilities, assets, configurations, and exceptions to create a unified view of security risk across the enterprise.
  • Partner Closely with Security Teams: Collaborate with security engineering, operations, and product security teams to understand their data needs, use cases, and analytical requirements, ensuring the delivery of accurate, actionable, and trusted datasets.
  • Own the Full Data Lifecycle: Lead initiatives end-to-end—from data discovery and requirements gathering to the implementation of production-ready SQL and Spark (PySpark) pipelines, followed by ongoing monitoring, optimization, and operational support.
  • Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions: Convert high-level business and security requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performance technical designs and implementations.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Platform Engineering Attitude: 4- 6 years of proven experience in a software or security engineering role with a strong focus on data modeling, systems integration, and building scalable internal platforms and tools.
  • Expert Data Manipulation Skills: Strong programming experience in Python and SQL/PySpark, with the ability to join disparate, incomplete, and noisy datasets into a reliable single source of truth.
  • Data Platform Proficiency: Deep hands-on experience with Databricks or similar Delta Lake–based platforms for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Strong interest in developing heuristics, logic, and analytical frameworks to answer complex security and risk-related questions.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate complex platform architectures, data flows, and risk-based insights to both technical and non-technical participants.
  • Forward-Looking Perspective: Familiarity with Agentic AI concepts or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is a strong plus, as this role helps build the data foundation for next-generation security intelligence tools.
