Position Summary

The Medicare Sales Manager will manage sales, retention, relationships and recruitment efforts for assigned products and geographies in our Carefree business, a subsidiary of CVS Health.

Candidate will support market and should live in one of these states:

North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Virginia
 

• Establishes specific goals for assigned areas of responsibility in line with strategic objectives.
• Builds successful relationships with constituents.
• Develops, executes and communicates a comprehensive strategy aligned with customers’ objectives, financial position and benefits strategies.
• Responsible for recruiting, training and developing agent and agency staff.
• Works effectively cross-functionally internally to complete sales, installation, servicing and product development activities as appropriate.
• Oversees communication and planning among key stakeholders that ultimately results in the delivery of a successful finalist presentation.
• Monitors industry information and competitive environment of the marketplace to position carrier strengths appropriately.
• Manage sales and retention efforts for assigned business or customer segments, products and geographies.
• Educates constituents on carrier-specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current topics and expects the same of team members.
• Manages complex negotiations.
• Positions products, rate levels and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years sales experience, preferably within the industry.  Prior Medicare experience is required.
  • 2+ years sales management experience for supervisory position.
  • Appropriate state licensure to sell insurance as required, subject to products sold. Life and Health license required.
  • Reside in one of the 6 states posted and willing to travel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Bilingual
  • Knowledge of Markets – NC, SC, TN, KY, WV, VA
  • Selling Products and Services; Sales - Strategic Prospecting
  • General Business - Managing Sales Relationships
  • Leadership - Collaborating for Results; Lead a business in different geographies or multiple markets; Lead a business turnaround
  • Experience with MS Office – PowerPoint, Word, Excel


Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (HS Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience) required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$68,000.00 - $158,304.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
