The Trait Integration and Population Development Specialist is critical to Corteva Agriscience’s mission to bring innovative seed products to our customers’ farm operations. This position is responsible for driving the execution of genotyping activities within Trait Integration and Population Development in Brazil and serving as a key link between local operations and global strategy. The selected candidate will be part of a network of specialists and provide guided directions for multiple crops and population types based on technical data.

Responsibilities:

•    Operational Execution: Actively manage and execute the submission of genotyping requests to various Corteva laboratories, ensuring accuracy and alignment with breeding timelines.
•    Data Analysis & Guidance: Perform hands-on data analysis on genotyping results and provide technical support and guided direction to breeding teams to facilitate decision-making.
•    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with local teams to understand Trait Integration processes and ensure the delivery of high-quality populations.
•    Global Integration: Communicate and collaborate with CRSP staff, Global Genotyping, and regional leads to execute on the global genotyping strategy.
•    Demand Planning: Generate and provide accurate projections to laboratories to assist with workload planning and resource optimization.
•    Compliance & Safety: Work with Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) in strict compliance with government regulations and company policies while maintaining a safe working environment.
•    Culture of Excellence: Act as a role model for ethical behavior and promote a culture of inclusion and belonging within the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Genetics, Agronomy, Biology, or related agricultural fields.
•    Master's degree will be a plus.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in the seed industry, research, or related fields.
•    Solid understanding of genetics and molecular markers.
•    Strong attention to detail with a focus on deadline-driven delivery and data quality.
•    Advanced/Fluent English is required for global collaboration and reporting.
•    High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills for data manipulation.
•    Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasonal windows.
