What part will you play?
This exciting role will report to the Director, East Sales and work closely with the Solar Sales team in other regions
The primary purpose of the role will be to actively work with roofing contractors to enhance and increase the build out of the GAF Energy residential solar products in the Dayton, OH region.
This individual will play a critical role in managing the exciting convergence of the roofing and solar industries
What will you be doing?
Grow residential sales of GAF Energy solar products to roofing channel and targeted solar companies
Help GAF Energy’s Sales team to meet its annual sales goals
Work with a targeted group of residential roofing contractors to introduce and enhance sales of new GAF Energy solar products (Solar Roof, Electric Vehicles and Storage)
Provide roofing contractor clients with the necessary training, sales tools, and support to successfully sell and install new GAF Energy solar products
Represent the voice of the roofing contractor and homeowner market for new product development Showing residential solar products at trade shows and other events outside of traditional roofing contractors
Present residential solar products at trade shows and other events outside of traditional roofing contractors
Work with third-party finance companies to assure that our products meet financing criteria for their markets
Expand industry contacts and continue to establish GAF Energy as a significant player in residential solar
Execute upon go-to market plans to all functions in the business
What do we require from you?
3 to 5 years+ of prior experience in sales, with exposure to in-home sales during this time
Prior experience with solar industry, as well as familiarity with building products and a customer-first mentality
Passion for client follow-up and problem solving
Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with team and peers both internally and externally. This includes excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
Basic understanding of policy impacts on solar industry
High energy/high sense of urgency/fast-paced and can think on his/her feet
