Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, VA. This position is part of a large program supporting Air Combat Command’s (ACC) Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission. Candidates must already possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
Primary Duties:
The Intelligence professional should be knowledgeable in data comprehension for program management and oversight in the implementation of technological capabilities required for the utilization of AI/ML and algorithms. Will lead working groups and projects related to service-level data transformation and implementation of new technologies focused on data standardization, collection, and algorithms designed to shorten Kill Chains. Provides technical and analytical support in addition to guiding and developing modern data-oriented tradecraft and analysis thru reviewing and development of tactics, techniques, and procedures. Directs and advises regarding technological implementations and standards. Functions as a lead integrator, able to provide program oversight and management while driving to service strategic goals. Additional duties include:
Attend and interface with service, DoD, and IC to the greatest extent possible to ensure ACC aligned with advancements and prepared for GPC
Integrate the resources, collective intelligence, and data expertise across the ACC staff to ensure alignment with Air Force, other Service and Joint programs to enable accelerated/automated kill chains and AI driven ISR orchestration supporting dynamic custody at speed and scale
Prepare intelligence Airmen for peer competition/conflict with an emphasis on analysis, data literacy and threat awareness.
Modernize and integrate ISR competencies across the kill-web
Develops and coordinates evaluations and advises Staff on stewardship of new analytic techniques by examining analysis and tradecraft objectives to improve the quality of intelligence production.
Reviews and develops technical documentation such as test or event plans, review previous test report findings, recommendations, lessons learned, technical and test reports, trade studies, and technical memorandums.
Required Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelors degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. (Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Knowledge about current AF ISR data practices and technologies
Knowledge about current commercial data practices and technologies
Experience with a focus on multiple domains of intelligence or all-source intelligence
Must have well-developed organizational and time management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate detailed technical information to peers and non-technical management staff as needed
Edits, standardizes, or makes changes to material prepared by other writers and illustrators - Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
Intelligence analysis training
Familiar with US national intelligence partners
Knowledge of non-linear workflows
Familiar with Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) development
Familiar with one or more of the following tradecraft: Activity Based Intelligence, Object Based Production or Anticipatory Posturing
Knowledge of SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, or HUMINT collection or analysis
Familiar with Air Operations Center (AOC) and/or Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS)
Excellent briefing and writing skill
