Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system that cares for individuals, families and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. If you value putting patients first, consider a career at Allina Health. Our mission is to provide exceptional care as we prevent illness, restore health and provide comfort to all who entrust us with their care. This includes you and your loved ones. We are committed to providing whole person care, investing in your well-being, and enriching your career.Key Position Details:
The Inpatient Rehab unit (also known as Courage Kenny) is a hidden gem of sorts in that it is a step down to all the acute areas of the hospital. Because our unit accepts patients from all areas of the hospital we see everything; from spinal cord injuries to major multiple traumas, amputations to arthritis, neurological conditions to LVADs and patients that just had a baby to mental health – really there is nothing we have not seen. Patients are on our unit for typically 14-20 days which allows you to get to know the patient (and their families) and witness how your care and interventions contribute to the patient’s discharge after having a major illness and/or disability. It is an excellent place for new grads to begin their career, get comfortable with the systems of Abbott Northwestern and even float to other Med Surg/Neuro/Ortho/Spine units! Inpatient Rehab bolsters an amazing 16 committees, councils and workgroups that you can join to not only better understand the programming side of care but also contribute to the growth of Rehab nursing.
