Job Description:

The Resilient Connectivity Products Portfolio, within the Collins Mission Systems Strategic Business Unit, has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts for the Identification and Interrogator Products (IIP) program. This candidate will play an integral role as a member of the program team focusing on proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution. This role will support US Government, prime contractors and international customers primarily for fixed price production and repair contracts. You will also be expected to have the prerequisite skills and experience to represent Collins independently on significant transactions while having the ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with complex customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for customer communication, contract management,  coordination of invoicing, fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally, the Manager, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio.

What You Will Do:

  • Be the Contracts lead for the development of proposals, negotiations, contractual agreements, contract execution, and day-to-day administration
  • Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company objectives and comply with company policies
  • Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure work is performed to the overall contract scope 
  • Develop and enhance positive customer relationships for working contractual matters to resolution
  • Effectively communicate with senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization
  • Leverage excellent relationships with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive closure on complex contractual issues and achieve business results

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience 
  • Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.  Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements 
  • Experienced in defense contracting including administration/management for fixed-price production, upgrades, and repair contracts.
  • Direct experience in the development of proposals, including sole source and competitive pursuits, as well as intensive fact-finding and negotiations.
  • Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) experience, international contracting, and global customer engagement.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
