Job Description

The Co-Op will support the Marketing & Communications team in the promotion of AAM and its people, products, technology leadership, quality and operational excellence through events, programs, internal newsletters, external content creation and project/administrative support, as needed. This position can be structured as either part-time or full-time (25-40 hrs/week) with a “home base” at our Detroit, Michigan World Headquarters. Daytime hours required.

Required Skills and Education

•    Creative, with excellent writing skills and working knowledge of AP Style
•    Quick learner, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects
•    Reliable and detail-oriented project manager 
•    Strong organizational and planning skills to execute events (internal and external)
•    Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
•    Comfortable working independently and as member of small team
•    Collaborative and curious, with a positive attitude

•    Currently at college or university, working towards a Bachelor’s degree
•    Within 1--3 years of graduating 
•    Majoring in Marketing, Communication, PR or related field

Start Date:
•    Position available as soon as January 2025; flexible start date after that
