The opportunity:

You will join to the TT&L (Transport, Trade & Logistics) department, which is a global organization with clear end-to-end responsibility. We are the logistics experts; our role is to ensure the best-in-class logistics setup for their in- and outbound flows across all modes of transport for our businesses. 

As a Logistics Operations Specialist you will coordinate outbound & inbound transport from, and to factory located in Sweden. Main role is to ensure a high level of service and cost-effective movement of goods for LBU, focusing on real time communication of service issues with shippers and receivers.  You will work in fast paced environment and make decisions to meet changing demands of transport requests.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Cooperate with freight forwarders and transport providers
  • Maintain communication with transport service providers to place transport orders, receive confirmation, monitor important milestones and receiving necessary documentation (POD, Invoices)
  • Plan and optimize deliveries (considering transport modes: Air, Ocean, Road)
  • Manage transport orders and ensure that drivers are monitored to ensure hight level of customer service.
  • Calculate total transportation lead time and transport cost in line with agreed rates
  • Take additional initiatives to achieve transport- cost savings with agreed target
  • Ability to justify cost overruns when they occur
  • Review & approve invoices within freight settlement process
  • Local transport market knowledge including equipment, port and airport operations as well as relevant restrictions and regulations
  • Participate actively in local/ global projects implementation and seeking of opportunities of logistics process improvements & developing ERP system

Your background:

  • 2 years of experience in transportation/supply chain area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics management is preferred.
  • English language B2 level or higher
  • Organized, structured and systematic work habits and mindset.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks with hight ownership
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working with advanced TMS platforms is preferred (SAP TM)
  • Knowledge of transportation rules and regulations including road & air & ocean modes is a plus
