Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Senior Analyst serves as the Finance subject matter expert within the Financial Applications team, a Business-Led IT model embedded in Bread Financial's CFO organization. This pivotal role is responsible for researching, querying, and developing solutions within the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to address financial inquiries and data-related issues for the finance community. The Senior Analyst manages project documentation and timelines, ensures deadlines are met, conducts unit testing, collaborates with finance partners on User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provides production support for financial application integrations with the EDW, EDH and other primary data sources, including defining integration requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Serve as a Finance subject matter expert to develop complex SQL queries, Dataiku and Allteryx recipes against the primary data sources including the EDW and EDH to meet business needs. Collaborate on data integration development, troubleshooting, and requirements definition. Conduct unit testing for developed queries and solutions and provide production support. - (30%)
Work closely with finance business partners and the Financial Transformation Office on projects. Build strong relationships to thoroughly understand business and user needs, assisting in translating these into high-quality project requirements and design documents. Provide recommendations for the optimal utilization of technology to meet business needs and deliver effective solutions. - (25%)
Drive assigned projects to meet deadlines by critically analyzing business problems, recommending robust solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders for consensus-driven issue resolution. Document and execute comprehensive test plans verifying financial calculation accuracy and expected results for financial system changes, including all necessary production migration documentation. - (20%)
Provide daily application support to end users on assigned applications, optimizing uptime and responding to inquiries and escalations. Adhere to team operating protocols including standardized processes, structured code review, change management, and cross-training. Ensure key processes are documented, SOX controls are effective, work is centrally tracked, and back-ups are trained. - (15%)
Develop, deliver, and update training content e.g., classes, videos, lunch and learns for financial system end users to enhance application functionality knowledge, maintaining a centralized document repository. Prioritize clear, concise, timely, and non-technical communication to finance end users and management, proactively communicating concerns and providing informative status updates. - (5%)
Coordinate effectively with the Data Sourcing Team and Enterprise Data Management Team to integrate financial data, ensuring compliance with the finance data dictionary and other financial data governance processes. - (5%)
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of experience in Data Querying and Reporting, Financial Application Support, and/or Testing and Quality Assurance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS, IT, Data Analytics, or Data Governance.
6+ years 6+ years of experience in Financial Services, FinTech, or Banking relating to banking products and loans including revolving credit products.

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):
$87,900.00 - $159,200.00Full Salary Range for position:
California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00Maryland: $92,200.00 - $175,100.00Washington DC: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00Illinois: $87,900.00 - $175,100.00New Jersey: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00Vermont: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00Ohio: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.
Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26. New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period). Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period. Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.
All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
