Take Back Expansion and Compliance Operations Manager

The Supplies HP Planet Partners Program (PPP) provides a convenient and free of charge solution for HP customers to return and recycle their used HP inkjet and toner cartridges. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee the expansion of our voluntary takeback operations. The ideal candidate will manage new service expansions into new countries or services, lead projects aimed at improving and broadening the program within the EMEA region, and spearhead various initiatives designed to enhance and extend our Take Back services. Additionally, the candidate should possess substantial experience in handling compliance and regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

- Monitor Compliance/Regulatory Requirements in EMEA

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for new countries and any changes in current countries.
  • Work closely with Sustainability teams and suppliers to uphold compliance standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to support regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on compliance matters.

- New Country Expansion to Africa Project Management Lead

  • Lead the project management efforts for the expansion into new African countries.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the expansion projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and objectives.
  • Oversee the creation, management, and maintenance of program documentation.
  • Ensure all project-related documents are accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

- End-to-End Vendor Management and Onboarding

  • Manage the entire supplier/vendor onboarding process, including vendor relationship management, request for quotation/proposal, negotiation, vendor selection, and onboarding.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Ensure the onboarding process is efficient and compliant with company policies and procedures.
  • Identification of opportunities for service enhancement (Customer experience and savings related) lead/develop/execute recommendations and provide insights to management team.

- Escalations Management for EMEA

  • Handle all escalations and resolve issues related to the program deliveries, supplier/vendor management, and compliance within the EMEA region.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations and provide timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address and resolve escalations effectively.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management and regulatory compliance, having experience on expansion of services to other countries is a strong plus.
  • Proven experience of supplier/vendor management and onboarding processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with mastery in English.
  • Be highly organized and a good multi-tasker.
  • Reliability and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Highly flexible, motivated, and focused person.
