Position Overview

The Medical Affairs Intern, Italy will support the Italian Medical Affairs team.

Main duties will include “learning on the job” tasks, such as preparing presentations, reviewing and updating specific departmental documents (such as medical plans, KOL mapping/engagement), assisting on specific projects (e.g. Adboards) and any new medical affairs projects at local and national level.

This position is based in the local Genomic Health Inc., Sede Secondaria Italiana office in Milan.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • achieve a good knowledge of both the company and products;
  • assist the Medical Affairs team (MD and MSL) in organizing and participating in team meetings, educational events, conferences, adboards, including the relationship with external providers, if needed;
  • support in reviewing and updating KOL plans, medical plans, stakeholder mapping;
  • support in the creation of scientific presentations;
  • periodic review and evaluation of scientific literature on specific topics of interest (pathology, diagnostics, competitors, etc.);
  • uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork;
  • support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • maintain regular and reliable attendance;
  • ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization;
  • ability to work designated schedule;
  • ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 50% of a typical working day.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recent Master’s degree in Medical, Marketing or Sales matters;
  • fluent in Italian and English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus;
  • excellent teamwork and interaction skills;
  • strong in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook;
  • demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation;
  • applicants must be currently authorized to work in country where work will be performed on a full or part-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Medical Affairs matters;
  • bachelor’s degree in biological and/or molecular biomedical sciences or equivalent

 

The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible.
