About the Role & Team
As Manager, GPP, the person in this position will be part of The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) Global Public Policy Europe, Middle East and Africa team and will support the company’s public policy and government relations activities in the Benelux under the supervision of the Senior Vice President Global Public Policy, Government Affairs in London. This will include collaboration with Disney’s business leadership teams in those markets, and connecting with policymakers and in trade / industry associations on key issues related to TWDC’s various lines of business, including Disney+, content production, and distribution.
This role will require you to be working 4 days a week in our office and 1 day from home.

What You Will Do
Maintain an expertise in the policy environment affecting TWDC’s business in the relevant markets
Identify and analyse new government policies and political and economic dynamics across the region
Liaise internally with business leads and other functions such as the legal, finance and communications teams in the Benelux. Translate business priorities into ideas for public policy initiatives to advance TWDC’s business agenda and to mitigate risks
Grow and maintain networks with policymakers, regulators and relevant stakeholders, along with representation in trade and industry associations in the Benelux
Support strategies to further influence policymaking and regulation in the Benelux
Proactively draft and implement stakeholder engagement initiatives and ensure ongoing stakeholder alignment / build strategic partnerships in the Benelux
Required Qualifications & Skills
4-5 years of experience working on media, internet, telecom policy issues for companies and/or government or relevant industry associations in Germany and Benelux
Expertise in relevant issues and experience leading engagement with policymakers in the Benelux
Bachelor’s degree or above; MBA or law degree helpful
Fluent in English and Dutch
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and strong track record of executing across functions
A team player and ability to exercise good judgement
Proactive and self-motivated
Strong work ethic
