As an LTL Invoice Issue Resolution Specialist, you will serve as a key liaison between our carrier partners and external customers & internal sales teams. In this role, you will manage the resolution of additional charges billed on LTL shipments. Once identified, these charges are communicated to customers and internal sales teams — and you will be the primary point of contact for addressing any responses, questions, or disputes. This is a role that demands high attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a strong sense of ownership.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with the Auditing team after the initial audit to handle communication between customers and sales brokers.
  • Handling responses to invoice notifications from customers and internal sales representatives regarding additional shipment charges.
  • Explaining the nature of additional fees (e.g., accessorial, service-related charges) and why they were billed.
  • Investigating and disputing charges with carriers, when applicable, to ensure accuracy and fairness.
  • Documenting resolutions and ensuring accurate updates to invoices and billing systems.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, operations, and carriers to drive efficient issue resolution.
  • Supporting billing audits and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for billing accuracy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in standard office software; familiarity with transportation or freight billing systems a plus.
  • LTL experience and/or Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable/Invoicing experience a plus!

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • MS Office proficiency and related computer knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and investigation aptitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SCHEDULING

• Hours will typically be 7AM – 4PM or 8AM – 5PM CST (M-F) but need to be flexible during busy times. This role is 100% in-office.

No travel is required for this role.
