Position Title:    Manager of Therapy (Inpatient and Outpatient)
FLSA Status:      Exempt
Reports To:        Director of Therapy

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager is responsible for the overall quality, quantity and appropriateness of rehabilitation services performed within the clinic. The Manager is accountable for both the clinical and
administrative aspects of the clinic, and provides direct patient care when necessary and within the scope of professional practice and license (approximately 50%).

Starting Wage: $87,987.00

The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position.  Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position.  The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.  

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current State of Hawaii Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech & Language Pathology licensure.

  • Current BLS Certification 

  • Completion of competencies and other job-related and REHAB requirements.  

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech & Language Pathology.

Skills/Experience:

  • Two (2) years work experience as a Therapist in a rehabilitation setting

  • Two (2) years supervisory experience.

  • Ability to safely and effectively manage patients’ mobility

  • Ability to clearly communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

  • Ability to safely provide care to patient

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Advanced degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Pathology, Hospital/Healthcare Administration and/or Business.

Skills/Experience:

  • Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation experience.

  • Experience and/or knowledge of neuro services.

Management Experience:

  • Three (3) or more years supervisory experience

  • Managerial healthcare and business background in various healthcare settings.
