Job Description

As the Human Resources Senior Manager at Amgen, your responsibilities will include planning and implementing HR strategies, leading talent acquisition efforts, driving performance management processes, and maintaining employee relations. You'll also ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, and provide guidance on complex HR issues.

Accountabilities

Develops HR Strategy based on local, International and Corp. objectives

Drives organizational scale and productivity for respective site(s)
Maintains full talent pipeline of internal staff and external candidates
Mobilizes staff through alignment initiatives and motivational programs
Creates purposeful Amgen culture for management and staff members
Improves leadership team effectiveness through senior HR influence

Responsibilities

Develops supervisors to improve their management capabilities to own Amgen’s human capital development for their department/function
Attracts, retain and integrate an educated, high quality motivated and engaged workforce – anticipates growth through talent management
Develops and administer local rewards programs based on corporate compensation philosophy, business objectives, and International programs
Leads training development and programs to develop employees
Ensures a clear, shared understanding of HR procedures-policies, and monitors compliance with local regulations
Acts as a key advisor to sr. mgmt on organizational design initiatives
Direct and drives the Performance Management cycle, including management coaching and staff development
May manage Works Council relationships on a proactive basis, with a business oriented approach to joint HR-mgmt-staff planning
Partners with sales management in supporting sales force effectiveness
Builds and maintains knowledge of Amgen’s products, therapeutic areas, markets, and business-financial model
Understands key business processes to ensure HR initiatives add value to Amgen’s local and regional business goals
Develops management communication plan for country-site that sets expectations for All Staff, department, group & personal communication

Local HR budget and HR resource plan
Takes decisions within the agreed regional HR strategy

Outputs

HR strategic agenda for site(s) based on client business objectives
Annual staffing plan by functional area developed jointly with finance and mgmt team
MAP performance rating distribution that meets corporate guidelines
Local succession plan for  site management team(s)
Local training plan integrating corp., regional and local programs for HR and functions
Sales incentive plan document and web site for function communication to sales group
  Policies, procedures, and associated documents for compliance to local rules
Annual calendar of HR programs relevant to local management and staff members
Climate survey action plan, integrating regional and local recommendations and actions
Quarterly HR metrics dashboard for local mgmt and business review meetings
Annual HR personnel and financial budget plan for country-site HR function
